Corte Madera Creek Estuary Bike Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Two options to continue when coming down from the CalPark tunnel bike trail or from the Larkspur ferry:
Either take the wooden boardwalk to follow the north bank of the creek inland to the bridge there or to Kentfield, or cross the creek here via the narrow concrete sidewalk on the highway exit bridge east side.

Corte Madera Multi-Use Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Beautiful and easy path that gets you away from cars! Runs for a good distance from the ferry terminal all the way to Ross/San Anselmo.

This is a great protected bike path that follows the creek.

Corte Madera Pathway

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

This paved bike trail runs through the College of Marin Campus along the Corte Madera Creek. This is a great trail for students and commuters, as well as cyclists looking for a traffic-free shortcut through the area.

San Anselmo-Fairfax Bikeway

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

This bikeway offers a better alternative to the much busier Center Boulevard, which does not have a shoulder and an even better route than the Sir Francis Drake Blvd highway. Lansdale and San Anselmo Avenues are quiet residential streets that run parallel and provide a pleasant passage through town away from busy traffic.

Tip by

6

14.8 km

To avoid the traffic when riding up (or down) White Hill, the highest elevation along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard from Fairfax, the old railroad grade is a more gradual, mostly smooth gravel trail alternative.

Big Rock -- Lucas Valley Rd Summit

Highlight • Natural Monument

Be careful on the descent, the pavement can get slippery. This is a great trail access spot for MTB and hiking.

Cal Park Hill Tunnel

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Opening this bike tunnel through the renovated trail tunnel as part of the 2010 redeveloped rail connection from Larkspur Ferry to Santa Rosa closed a crucial gap in the bike commute to San Francisco.
