Pleasant small island community in Newport Bay, connected by a bridge to the mainland on the North side at Bayside Drive, and by a ferry to the Balboa Peninsula to the south with its long sandy Pacific beaches. Marine Avenue and Park St have most of the touristic infrastructure, stores and restaurants. Otherwise the island is mostly small residential houses, many with boat docks along the waterfront and canals.
