Magdalen Green Bandstand

"The bandstand built in 1890 has become a Dundee icon and hosts concerts on Sunday afternoons during the summer. Built at the Saracen Foundry by Walter Macfarlane & Co of Glasgow it was restored in 1991. The summer of 2009 saw the start of much needed repairs to make it safe for future public use." The V&A is a magnificent building that showcases the best of Scottish design, and the RRS Discovery is a ship that was built in 1901 for scientific purposes in the Polar regions. It went on its first expedition between 1901 and 1904 to Antarctica, and now stands in the Firth of Ray for visitors to enjoy its grandeur.
