Barry Knows Best Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

One of the best-known and most-loved trails in the Surrey Hills, Barry Knows Best is often techy, sometimes tight, brilliantly flowy singletrack that heads down the side of Holmbury Hill.

Start from Radnor Road, by the reservoir, with a few rooty corners and dips before a series of steps, berms and bumps that'll certainly put a grin on your face! It's easy to loop with the bridleway at the bottom leading straight back up the hill for round two!

View from Pitch Hill

Highlight • Natural Monument

Pitch Hill is a dramatic summit atop a narrow sandstone spur that affords breathtaking views over the village of Ewhurst, as well as the Weald and the South Downs. The spot has extra significance for Beatles' fans as George Harrison's famous song 'Here Comes the Sun' was apparently inspired by the hilltop.
