Trail to Peak Cavern (formerly "The Devil's Arse")

Path off the road is not well marked, there is an old finger post but it has lost all writing, path is narrow and squeezed between a house and a wall.

Winnats Pass is a tough climb out of Castleton through a dramatic limestone cleft. It starts off relatively gently, but gets steeper as you near the top.

The road can get busy with traffic, so take care when going down.

No.33 of the top 100 official climbs. A 1.8km climb with an ave gradient of 11.4% and a max of 18.3%. Worth it though as once you have made it up onto the ridgeline the views are awesome!

Speedwell Cavern is one of the four show caves in Castleton, Derbyshire, England. The cave system consists of a horizontal lead miners' adit 200m below ground leading to the cavern itself, a limestone cave.
