Ashley Heath Halt (Castleman Trailway)

Highlight • Historical Site

Castleman trailway: Travel from Ringwood to Poole along the disused Southampton to Dorchester railway line on this easy cycle and walking route. Route highlights include 3 lovely country parks - Avon Heath Country Park, Moors Valley Country Park and Upton Country Park.
The trail runs for a distance of about 15 miles on a fairly flat path so it's a good ride for families or anyone looking for an easy, sheltered walk.

Moors Valley Forest Trails

Highlight • MTB Park

Great loop through the forest all well maintained with some rocks and duckboards. Good for CX practice or a fun ride with the kids. Go to the reception/cafe from the car park and head off to the right past the cycle hire shop, then follow the through the forest arrows. There are maps and Bike hire available from the shop. Also the play area, trail walks and cafe can keep all the family entertained.

Moors Valley Country Park is a great place for a family day out. There is such a range of activities here, from Go Ape, to mountain bike trails, to fishing.

The tracks for cycling range from wide open forest tracks to singletrack through the forest. There is also a bike park and pump track where you can test your bike handling skills.
