Île-Tudy

Highlight • Settlement

Picturesque village at the head of l'Ile Tudy. Very touristy in summer, but there are a few nice cafes at the top to take a break. The view over to Loctudy is also not to be despised. If you want to use the shuttle ferry between the two places, you should find out about the opening times beforehand, otherwise the only option is the long route around the bay.

Pointe de Mousterlin

Highlight • Beach

The Mousterlin marsh and the White Sea will delight young and old alike. In the marsh, two ornithological observatories allow you to admire a Great Cormorant, a Little Egret or a Gray Heron. Walking along the White Sea we discover surprising landscapes as well as exceptional fauna and flora. As for Pointe de Mousterlin, it offers a beautiful view of the Glénan archipelago.

A pedestrian and bicycle path does circle around a great part of the bay. A section is quite narrow and would not allow crossing someone. Follow the signs between the old harbor of Port La Forêt and the bottom of the bay and take the quiet road. Also watch the bird’s.

Concarneau - Ville Close

Highlight • Monument

The modern town of Concarneau was built near the walled town, which is the old town surrounded by fortifications. Suburbs gradually developed on the mainland near this “island city”. It is only recently in the history of Concarneau that the city left its ramparts. The town of Concarneau is crossed by the Ria du Moros, a small coastal river which flows into its port.

Day 35: from Lesconil to Concarneau

Today we have a coastal tour waiting for us.

I'm not going to do the whole thing, because even here in Brittany there are sections where the smell of deep fryer fat and clouds of sun cream are crowded together.

We only touched on that twice, including a circus arena with entertainment.
