Furlo Pass Summit

It is difficult to go up 700m in altitude in 7km ... you go up and up and then when you are at the top you can also see the sea down there in Fano. In the summer there are the gorse in bloom, what a sight. If you do not have a bike you can rent one at the beginning of the route from Marche Bike there are e-bikes and muscles

Furlo Gorge (Gola del Furlo)

Highlight • Gorge

The Gola del Furlo State Natural Reserve is a natural reservoir to protect and enhance whose management has been entrusted to the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. A decision taken by the Ministry of the Environment on February 6, 2001.

The establishment of the Reserve represents a recognition of the environmental and naturalistic peculiarities of the area, which entails the advantage of offering the territory greater opportunities for protection and safeguarding, for example rehabilitation and restoration interventions, in a unified program, which will allow to make better enjoyable this paradise of our province has always been preserved and supervised by the local population. In short, the Reserve not only gives economic advantages to enhance the whole area (from flora, fauna, to rural buildings), but also a unitary design and greater controls for its protection and making it accessible to all.

The Reserve is an authentic paradise, crossed by the Candigliano river which insinuates itself between the imposing rocky walls of the magnificent Gola del Furlo, where the suggestion of the landscape is combined with a prodigious natural wealth that boasts truly unique specimens of flora and fauna. This territory has an extraordinary importance from the landscape, geological, geomorphological, paleontological, floristic and faunistic point of view.
