Marble Quarry of Orosei

Highlight • Structure

Since the marble and granite mining began in the 1950s, an industry has increasingly developed in Sardinia, which today exports high-quality stone all over the world.

There is one route highlight for this route; I find that more appropriate ("Through the Sardinian prairie"). Otherwise, I do not share the opinion of the previous comment. I found the route very nice and idyllic to drive, with hardly any traffic (much less than on the SS125). It is true that there is no way to refill water on the 20 km, but that is logical in the Pampa and is usually planned for. Coming from Orosei with only one water bottle was no problem (I refilled it in Santa Lucia); is also quite flat (although not flat).
