Highlight • Beach

Saranda lies on a small, not particularly sheltered bay, open to the south, surrounded by 200- to 400-meter-high hills. From here, it is only a few kilometers to the southwestern Greek island of Corfu.
In ancient times, the town was called Onchesmos and served primarily as a port for Phoenicia. Various remains from late antiquity, such as the city walls, can still be seen in the city center.
The most important sight near Saranda are the extensive ancient ruins of Butrint, about 15 kilometers south of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.

Day 6: Today was the longest tour on the agenda at 72 km. Unfortunately, Komoot failed a bit. So here is a short summary of the tour.
