Today I went on a short tour in the beautiful Odenwald. The start is in the parking lot of Breuberg Castle, and Höchst in the Odenwald is very close by.

The castle complex from the 12th century now houses, among other things, a youth hostel. It is closed for visits on Tuesdays, but the entire complex is freely accessible.

Mächtig Burg Breuberg rises majestically over the Mümling valley in the Vorderer Odenwald. It has defied all feuds and wars of its good 800-year history.
