Café hidden in the container, cold and warm drinks and food. Significantly more selection and better quality than the outside might suggest. After a long run through strong winds, a welcome opportunity to take a breath and warm up/cool down. Open daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

It seems bizarre that I'm creating a highlight for something like this but I'm not going to lie, this was definitely a highlight of my #WalkHome2020 200-mile (322 km) journey from Sheffield to Cockermouth. Following the Pennine Way over this magnificent footbridge at great height was an unforgettable experience. The bridge sags in the middle rather than arches upwards which feels unusual. The roar of the traffic was deafening and the lorries sounded their horns for our merriment. All in all, it was a sharp contrast to the rural focus of my long walk.

Whilst it might not be the tallest at 1,549 feet (472 m), Blackstone Edge commands a fine view over the landscape and is a lovely place to experience some solitude. To the left, you see Manchester skyscrapers soar in the distance. To the right, you can see West Yorkshire, Huddersfield and beyond.
