Badia a Ruoti is a fascinating monastic complex documented as early as 1076, when it joined the Camaldolese order and became one of the most influential religious centers in the Valdambra. The church still retains Romanesque elements, such as the 11th-century hanging porch, and inside, works of art including the Coronation of the Virgin by Neri di Bicci (1472).
