The former castles were erected by the Wejher and Przebendowski families, the present castle was built at the order of the von Below family; it was designed in gothic Tudor style by the architect Frederick August Stüller in 1840.
Restored in mid- 1990s and converted into a hotel and an all-year restaurant the castle provides perfect conditions for conferences, meetings, wedding parties and other social events. There is a horse stud nearby and a unique Cultural Park – Settlement of Seal Hunters.
