Taps Cove, Montgat

Highlight • Beach

Former Conejo Bleach Factory (Henkel). The name given to it because of the amount of plastic caps from the Factory that were thrown on the beach.

Station Beach

Highlight • Beach

Beach located in front of Badalona station, equipped with all kinds of services and facilities for people with reduced mobility. The sand is of medium grain and the entrance to the sea is a little steep.

The station beach, as its name suggests, is in front of the Badalona train station. It is a very lively beach, with different facilities. It is accessed through two underground passages, located on both sides of the beach. There is an indoor municipal swimming pool, a large car park, the El Pescador restaurant, the La Pista baths and a sports centre.

It has a length of 390 meters and a width of about 35. It is made up of medium-grained sand and the slope at the entrance to the sea is a little steep. The seabed, as in this entire area of the coast, is sandy. It has showers, toilets, a first aid station and a bar. It also has facilities for people with reduced mobility: adapted showers and toilets, access ramp and lifeline at sea. On the left is the Patí de Vela beach, named after the Badalona Swimming Club, founded in 1929 and with a long tradition of using this type of boat. The club has, among others, a swimming pool, bar and restaurant.

Petroli Pier

Highlight • Bridge

The Pont del Petroli is a jetty in Badalona built in 1879 for the unloading of petroleum products from tankers. It goes into the sea 250 meters and has a height of 4.5 meters. In 2009 the environment was remodelled, which no longer has industrial use and is a tourist attraction.

The Pont del Petroli is a concrete structure consisting of a 235-meter access bridge finished with a 100-m² unloading platform and supported by metal pylons. The Bridge is made up of two T-shaped concrete beams joined together. The bridge is supported by 16 groups of pylons separated every 15 cm, three of the groups of pylons are in the sand of the beach and the rest of the water stuck 6 meters into the seabed.
