Finally made it: the Rosalia Loop. A nice bike ride with a few climbs (which offer views), but also plenty of beautiful descents. A stop in Schattendorf, but unfortunately, there was no lunch. And there was none in Bad Sauerbrunn because we didn't have enough time. But good Somlauer Nockerl (spicy dumplings) with coffee... 😉

Today was a cycling day on the program. The starting and finishing point was Bad Sauerbrunn - a really nice place. Without any great ideas, we went on the mostly paved bike path through various villages in Burgenland. On the way there are always nice places to linger and visit, you never get bored. At Schattendorf you come very close …

The Rosalia cycle path is a 58-kilometer-long circular route that allows you to experience the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park in all its diversity.
The area around the Rosalia Mountains can be a bit hilly. There are small, challenging climbs between Wiesen and Forchtenstein, but... the effort is worth it.
Throughout the entire cycle tour, you will be rewarded with sweeping views …

Anyone who drinks a storm will reap a headwind (new Burgenland proverb).
When we set off there was still virtually no wind. In retrospect, the day would have been more suitable for windsurfing, but I've already surfed a lot in the last few days.

Today we drove the Rosaliaradweg. Very nice route and great weather. Very comfortable to drive and always beautiful views, through fields and past flowering trees. The bright yellow rapeseed was particularly beautiful.
By the way, the tour is very well signposted, you can hardly go wrong.

According to Komoot, the planned tour was 57.7km and 540hm
It was then 58.4km and 740hm .. and I trust my Garmin :) Where do the 200hm come from? 😂

Overall, the tour would have been wonderful. Very nice to drive and also to see a lot.

BUT!

Showing Translation

Attention: between Sigleß and Sauerbrunn there is a washed out gravel road, after Sigleß it is better to follow the cycle path B32!!
