I started off relaxed in Mühldorf and initially followed the flat course of the Salzach River south to Tüßling and then on to Altötting. The Chapel of Grace of the "Black Madonna" there is Bavaria's oldest Marian pilgrimage site and has been attracting pilgrims since the 7th century.
