Pitten Rose Garden with a View of the Schlossberg

Highlight • Natural

Located directly on the thermal spa cycle path, be sure to stop by for a quick stroll. There are many rose varieties, all with name tags, and the scent is wonderful. Along the way, you'll find lounge chairs or a small gazebo to relax in.

Bromberg Parish Church

Highlight • Religious Site

The church hamlet on a hillside on the Schlattenbach-Talstraße was documented as a parish in 1144 and is the eldest daughter of the Pitten parish. The parish was incorporated into the Reichersberg Abbey in 1160 and became the focal point of the monastery's holdings in the Bucklige Welt. Dendrochronological dating of the roof structure of the church gives the years 1405, 1422, 1475, 1557. The church was consecrated in 1496. The original circular wall with towers and outbuildings of the fortified church were demolished in 1824 and a west portal was built. An interior restoration with excavations took place in 1981/1982.

Linsberg Castle

Highlight • Castle

Linsberg Castle is a baroque palace complex, the complex is a medieval foundation that was expanded in the 15th to 16th centuries. In the first half of the 18th century, in poor structural condition, its owner at the time, a court master of the Wiener Neustadt bishop, had it repaired and converted into a palace. At the same time, it gave her an even, baroque appearance. In the 19th century, various changes in the historicist style followed both on the main house and on the complex of farm buildings.

The complex has been a listed building under the name Thurnhof zu Linsberg Castle since 1971. The castle and the associated castle park are privately owned and not accessible to the public, but can be seen from the street.

The climb to the mountain church is very worthwhile because of the panoramic view over the Wechsel-Semmering-Rax-Schneeberg-Hohe Wand area.
