Sir Daniel Gooch was born in Bedlington in 1837, aged just 21 he became the locomotive superintendent of the Great Western railway, he also masterminded the laying of the first transatlantic cable.
Mary Weightman MBE set up an animal clinic that become the people's animal welfare service a tireless fundraiser for the clinic.
Dr John brown MBE was a doctor in Bedlington community for over 50 years. Remembered as a true gent, he always help others he treated injured miners climbing down mine shaft at great personal risk. He also treated people for free if they couldn't afford the fees.
