It is one of the largest lakes in Brittany with a length of 5.5 kilometers and a width of between 500 and 900 meters depending on the location. Lake Ploërmel constitutes a habitat of choice for many aquatic and terrestrial species. Otters, frogs, deer, white fish and insects benefit from this space fed by the Yvel.
