The Adige Valley Cycle Path
2nd stage: from Meran to Trento
The stage from Meran to Trento is 98 km long and has a lot of extraordinary sights in store. The castles around Bolzano are not only a jewel in the landscape from afar, some of them can also be visited. Lake Caldaro in the south of South Tyrol is a popular meeting place, especially in summer, and offers you the opportunity for a refreshing swim. We continue through the impressive Trento landscape to the city of Trento, which is well worth seeing!

Those who like monotony are in good hands on this cycle path. On one side the river, on the other a railway line. Here it is more advisable to drive along the wine route. Right through apple orchards and small streets.

April 30, 2025,Nals -> Meran ->Dorf Tirol
Today, we took it a little easier. A relaxed bike ride to Merano and from there a chairlift ride to Tirolo. After a leisurely stroll and a cappuccino, we returned to the bike and headed home.

Two cities only 20km apart, but so different for me. You can see that Bolzano has more of an Italian flair. The city architecture is almost the same, but dealing with it is definitely different. And the city atmospheres themselves are different.
A detour to Lana is definitely recommended. Just because of the schnapps 😂😂

After the great route in Bozen, the journey to Meran and through Meran was very moderate. We still had a nice stay thanks to the flowers on the beautifully landscaped promenade on the Passeier and, of course, to the good espresso and delicious ice cream.

First we went on a small city tour in Meran. Then we went along the Adige to eat at the Italian restaurant at the gondola valley station in Vilpian. We finally drove back to Lana through apple orchards. A very comfortable, nice round.
