This work of art represents a stylized bridge with an entrance gate that undulates like water. It symbolizes the connection between Burcht-Zwijndrecht and the Scheldt. Both banks are connected, as was the case in the past, by boats and now by tunnels. Ironically, the bridge looks like a tongue sticking out towards the city of Antwerp, which often thinks it is bigger than it is.
