The Kinzig Valley between Gelnhausen and Schlüchtern is, apart from a few short sections, a natural cycle route. I always enjoy cycling it.

Kinzigtal Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

It's nice to have a cycle path next to the motorway, but you don't have to. But the problem remains throughout the Kinzigtal that there are hardly any quiet corners due to the ICE route and the A66.

April 14, 2024,Kinzigtal Radweg 2024: Niederzell <-> Gelnhausen
In this wonderful spring weather we took a trip to the Kinzig Valley. We parked the car in Niederzell. Via Steinau, Salmünster, Wächtersbach to Gelnhausen.
We stopped at the ice cream parlor on the Kinzig Bridge. On the way back we kept deviating from the usual route. But it was very nice that way.

Today on the beautiful Kinzigtal cycle path from Niederzell to Gelnhausen and back.
Very nice route. Only the through town of Steinau. Here you drive on a play road, but the car traffic was scary.

We enjoyed a tour of the Kinzig Valley in this glorious spring weather. We parked the car in Niederzell and drove via Steinau, Salmünster, and Wächtersbach to Gelnhausen. At the swimming pool in Gelnhausen, we turned around and drove back to Wächtersbach, where we stopped for a break at Pappert's.

Today's tour took us to the Kinzig Valley. During the night we had heavy rain, so we looked for paved paths. Our normal starting point, in Niederzell, was closed due to construction work, so we switched to Steinau.
The Kinzigtalradweg is a beautiful cycle path about which there is not much to complain about. Only the through road from Wächtersbach …

Today we were in the Kinzig valley. A wonderful tour in the best weather. There is actually nothing to complain about. We used to always drive from Flieden and back by train. It's easier and nicer that way.

Wonderful descent to Steinau. A really pretty town with a picturesque old town and lots of half-timbered houses. I treat myself to a break in the beautifully restored Literature Café with its pretty inner courtyard and more stylish interior. Coffee and cake also leave nothing to be desired. 👌😋. The weather is gradually changing and the headwind from the west …

After studying the weather forecast extensively, we decided to go to the Kinzig valley today. On previous tours, we always drove from Flieden and then back by train from Langenselbold or Hanau.
This time we parked the car in Niederzell and drove to Gelnhausen and back again. There were several reasons for this. On the one hand, the route from …
