Kammerstein Castle Ruins

Today only part of the curtain wall and a section of the wall adjoining the keep are preserved.

The castle was 40 by 25 meters with a wall height of 15 meters. Since it was bordered on three sides by steep cliffs, it was practically only accessible from the west side via a one meter wide suspension bridge. On the southeastern curtain wall (Bering) was a four-story half-timbered building as a hall.

At the highest point of the site was a pentagonal keep, which was up to three meters thick. It was four storeys high and could only be entered via a ladder.
