Eggerslack Wood

Highlight • Trail

A tranquil stretch of woodland just south of Kendal, Eggerslack Wood is a popular natural retreat. Here, you can follow the network of footpaths through thick greenery of holly, ivy and ferns and clearings blanketed with snowdrops and bluebells.

The woodland makes up part of the Pilgrim's Way long distance hiking path. Unfortunately, you can't ride your two wheels here, but you can park your bike in the carpark and explore the woods on foot.

Not sure what these rocks were but they were fun to walk across. Big cracks so take it carefully. Rewarded with a look out point across Grange over Sands
