This beautiful packhorse bridge crosses the river in an idyllic spot. There are two benches where you can sit and admire birdsong, wildflowers and gently-flowing water.

Bench at Trans Pennine Trail Junction, Oxspring

Highlight • Rest Area

A small bench at a TPT junction in Oxspring, near Penistone. It always feels like it's a good stop when I'm cycling to or from Barnsley. One autumn there were some wild tomatoes growing between the bench and the fencing behind it.

Venturing into my patch. 👍 The car park is a great starting point. Bet it was busy today. Done a similar walk but starting at Oxspring.
