La Playa de La Espasa is an extensive golden sandy beach over a kilometer long, located in eastern Asturias, between the municipalities of Caravia and Colunga. It is an open and windy beach, ideal for families with children due to its services, but also very popular for surfing.

Location: Mouth of the Espasa River, in the Principality of Asturias.

Services: Lifeguards, showers, ample parking (paid in summer for about €4) and a playground.

Environment: It has a pleasant park, recreational area, and several beach bars and restaurants for dining.

Tides: As the tide rises, the sandy area is considerably reduced. At low tide, it is connected to the neighboring Playa de La Isla.
