Punta de ses Gatoves Trail

Highlight • Trail

Signposted route through the Mondregó Natural Park, 700 m long that goes from the "Platja de s'Amarador" beach along the coastline to the "Ca sa Muda" car park.
It crosses a typical Mediterranean coastal forest with majestic Aleppo pines and Phoenician junipers. It offers wonderful views of Cala Mondragó and the opportunity to look out over the rocky Caló d'en Perdiu.

S'Amarador Beach

Highlight • Beach

Beautiful beach bay. 2 deckchairs with umbrella for EUR 15.50. Small kiosk. You have to walk, but not overcrowded. Worth especially in bad weather and wind: great surf and you have the experience for yourself.

Cala Mondragó Beach

Highlight • Beach

The "Cala Mondragó" on the east coast is no longer an "insider tip" - it has remained a gem for lovers of original landscapes.

Songbirds, including the rare stonechat, are said to be happy to settle in the "Parc natural de Mondragó" (the area has also been a bird protection zone since 1995). People are currently drawn primarily to the two largest bathing bays in the 766-hectare nature park, ses Fonts de n'Alis and s'Amarador Holm oaks, turquoise sea, a rocky path directly on the water that connects the beach sections.

Several nice swimming and snorkelling spots. The bus stops at the park entrance.
A few extra tips:
The excursion to scualo.com (a diving center) that offers a guided boat / water cave tour was also great. Starting point Porto Christo. I have already been to many caves but swimming in diving suits and climbing them with a helmet lamp and …

Super nice there. There are 5 small rounds. We did 1 - 4. Then we were thirsty 🫣 were at Cala Mondrago, but only ordered drinks there. We were approached very rudely and told that we should also eat something. Only drinks at the self-service bar. But there are no tables there 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today we were in the nature park looking for 🐢turtles. We didn't find a single one on the 4 different paths 😢. But we were rewarded with a super clear view and several caves in the water at Schnochel. That was very impressive 😍!!
The parking lot cost €6 for the whole day.
