The interior, on the other hand, doesn't offer much - at least as far as an old waterworks is concerned. On open days (e.g. Open Monument Day) you can taste the fresh (and good) Quedlinburg water and admire many a relic from days gone by.

A good bike path leads below the Teufelsmauer along the Bode and offers a great view of the rock formation. A new bridge to the Marienhof offers a convenient connection to the paved cycle path. The Marienhof itself offers a good opportunity to rest - with coffee, baked goods, or even ice cream. A small petting zoo is also on site and open to the public.

On the other side of the rock formation there is a narrow path that is very easy to walk on but is also not difficult as a single track for an MTB.

I would only recommend the way up to the stones on foot because it is quite steep on both sides and the path is partly provided with steps.

I always enjoy the tour to Neinstedt with its view of the Teufelsmauer (Devil's Wall). I highly recommend the cafeteria at the Bergblick nursing home; the prices are reasonable, and the service is good.
I wonder if the power pole will survive the next storm.
