It's a nice place to rest. I loved seeing the mountains, all green and full of trees. It also has a bed seat next to it where you can take a nap.

On the panoramic trail you always have a beautiful view over the Rhine plain. There is usually a bench to sit on. In winter, when there is snow, a cross-country ski trail is also groomed here.

February 17, 2025,❄️Lotharpfad, Spechtpfad und Panoramarundweg❄️
Since we don't know the extended Lothar Trail yet, we wanted to hike it while there was still ❄️snow 🥾🥾
But first the classic Lothar Trail.
That wasn't all that easy.
The wooden planks under the snow were very icy 🪵❄️🧊
It's not for nothing that the ⚠️warning signs have been put up that clearly say:
Closed in snow ❄️ …

The Lothar Trail is a beautifully landscaped and well-maintained wooden path through the Black Forest with magnificent panoramic views.

There are lovely little seating areas and sunbeds where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and listen only to the birds singing cheerfully.

On the road again with Black Forest wolf 🐕🌲 Beautiful round through gigantic scenery with a fabulous view of the Renchtal and the Rhine plain! A feast for the eyes for breakfast 👌

Today, in great weather, we went on a short detour to the Lotharpfad and Panoramaweg on the Black Forest High Road.

Great views in great weather 😎

But at the moment you still have to be careful, some of the footbridges on the Lotharpfad are still icy and therefore difficult to walk on!

nice little fairly level walk in the Black Forest National Park around the Lothapfad/Spechtpfad. Arrive by bus or private car, as it is a circular route

Beautiful tour through the northern Black Forest with great views of the Vosges and the Alps.
Recommended at any time of the year 😊

A short, very varied afternoon hike in the Northern Black Forest, past raised bogs, through mystical woods, and by numerous viewpoints. A highlight was, of course, the Lothar Trail, which leads across the raised bog on boardwalks and where not only children enjoy the route. It also features many sections through dense forest, along root-covered paths, and past sandstone formations.

The weather was perfect today for a hike on the Black Forest High Road. I've wanted to do the Lothar Trail for a long time and had already seen a tour by Günther LS. The trail itself is very short at just under 1km, so we added the panoramic circular trail. The view was overcast, but somehow seemed mystical. Parking …
