Triefenbach Trail (Brückenpädel)

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Nice path along the Triefenbach from Hilschweiher to the Gasthaus Hüttenbrunnen. At the inn, be sure to walk about 100 meters up the mountain to see the springs that spring up there. Worthwhile.👍

"It was better to drive bad than well!" Fun - the ride in the rustic chair lift I really liked. Reminded me of my Alpine holidays as a child.

March 15, 2026,Edenkoben-Runde: Mandelmeile, Wasserfall, Rietburg-Bahn
When the day starts with world-class steamed dumplings at the Almond Mile, it can only be good! Beautiful paths, often across water, past the waterfall and the cable car, places to stop for refreshments, and beautiful views (if the weather were better 🫣). It was really great again!

The almond blossom is once again making its way to the beautiful Palatinate region. It's something you have to see for yourself, not just on Facebook or Instagram.

So, off I went by train to Neustadt, where I met Janine, and together we continued on to Edenkoben.

First because of the memory of a nice bike ride to the coffee... already the first almond blossoms....... almond blossom pastries... on to the almond blossom kiln... oh dear, the destination is the Rietburg, over the Villa Ludwigshöhe.....the train is actually in operation, but nothing there, the paths up to the castle are much too beautiful 🤗 to go up …

The summer residence of the Bavarian King Ludwig I - built from 1846 to 1852 according to designs by the famous architect Friedrich von Gärtner - is located above Edenkoben and the enchanting wine …

If you're doing the loop with children, you can skip the Almond Mile and start at the hikers' parking lot below the Rietburgbahn valley station. The exciting things for children start from here.

As we set off, it was still drizzling a bit, and before that, the world briefly ended :-)
But that didn't deter us, and we set off toward the Rietburgbahn cable car. We rode up and looked at the castle...
Then we continued past the enclosure to Hilschbach, where we took a break.

Today we went to the Palatinate for a change. To be more precise, to Edenkoben to walk part of the Almond Blossom Path. We have combined the beautiful hike with the Peace Monument and the Rietburg. Unfortunately, the weather forced us to take the Berg chairlift. Everything was hip today. Sun, storm, hail and rain 🙄😅.
Finally we went through …
