Notre-Dame du Cap Lihou Church

The oldest parts of this austere gray church date from the 15th century. The nave and the facade, decorated with monolithic columns, were built some time later, in the 17th and 18th centuries. A beautiful tower rises above the celebration. Inside, only some capitals around the choir have been decorated. Lovers of stained glass windows will admire the modern windows of the choir, made between 1955 and 1959 by Jacques Le Chevallier.
The residents of Granville maintain the 14th century statue of N.-D.-du-Cap-Lihou, which is located in the northern side chapel. This Virgin is particularly honored during the Grand Pardon (a pilgrimage) of the maritime guilds.
