Beilngries boasts a beautiful old town that invites you to stroll around. Hirschberg Castle is another highlight. This building, now used as a conference center, sits perched on a mountain spur high above the town. The castle courtyard is open to the public and well worth a visit.

Another interesting attraction in Beilngries is the Brewery Museum, located in an underground rock labyrinth.

Admission is five euros. The museum is open every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. from April to October 31st. In August, it is also open on Thursdays.

Day 5, always along the river, a small loop back to Kipfenberg, and then a really steep climb at the end.

We start in Eichstätt. You leave the old town and head into nature. The paths are perfectly maintained, mostly paved.

In Arnsberg, there's another self-service ice cream machine at the sports field. We couldn't resist. 👌
