Highlight • Lake

Here it is about quieter than usual in the area. The area is used by many water and waders to forage. If you are lucky you might see a deer

Wonderful round on the Lower Rhine from Fährhaus Up to the other side of the Rhine towards Wesel and back over the Rhine bridge on the other side of the Rhine.
Start is behind Bislich near the ferry house. There are usually enough free parking spaces on the banks of the Rhine, including for mobile homes.
It started directly with …

Nice tour in the Lower Rhine flat country. It goes from Wesel in a right-hand row down the river to the Xanten Rhine ferry. A detour to the old town of Xanten is definitely worth it. Back to Wesel, head east on the left bank of the Rhine past the Bislicher Insel nature reserve. Over the bridge of the B58 …

Part four of our cycle tour took us to the Archaeological Museum in Xanten. The route took us over the Rhine Bridge in Wesel and then mostly along the Rhine Cycle Path. We returned by ferry at Bislich. Overall, a short but beautiful ride.

A perfect summer Sunday: We drove through the pedestrian zone of Wesel with very good "friend relatives" from P-Auesee before we crossed the Rhine and headed west on the dike. The many storks and their nests are a real highlight of the Bislicher Insel nature reserve!

The incredible average 😉 is the result of a combination of cycling and running in the Xanten Archaeological Park, which is highly recommended. Plan enough time.

A tour with plenty of variety, including use of the Bislich passenger ferry, although it doesn't always run.

Short stroll along the "Günne Kant" (other side of the Rhine), ate delicious ice cream in Xanten.

Today was finally the time for a little trip to the Lower Rhine 🤗 🤗
What a great tour in a fantastic area with the best weather.
It wasn't the last time I was there. ✌️

Highlights are certainly the NSG Bislicher Insel, the drive over the Niederheinbrücke and downtown Xanten. APX with a great Roman museum and thermal baths, but otherwise too little "ancient rubble". Huge terrain, which impressively illustrates the dimensions of the CUT.
