With the RE1 you can easily get to Fürstenwalde by bike, and from Erkner you can easily return with the RE1 or the S-Bahn.

Today is a final stage along the Spree. We actually wanted to go to Köpenick, but my bike gave up the ghost (see last photo). So we only made it as far as Erkner.

We went back by train. A real challenge because of the many passengers.

Except for 2 km of sandy path, you almost always ride on good, separate asphalted cycle paths.

Nice, shady route on mostly paved paths, often along the Spree, with some picnic options.
Possible with children, as only a very short section has to be covered on the main road in Hartmannsdorf and approx. 4 km to Steinfurt on a quiet district road.
Arrival and departure with public transport connection very easy to do.
Don't forget mosquito repellent.

Bellevue on the s-3 to Erkner station, change to the re1 and then to Fürstenwalde, from there back to Erkner 🛴🛴🛴🛴, off to the s-3 and back to Bellevue 🚉 this is a nice tour route, we did it over 10 years ago (with the 🚲🚲🚲🚴🚴) such old tours are sometimes interesting to see how everything has changed 👍👍👍🤣😎
