We finally hiked over the Vigiljoch, Lana’s local mountain, to the Naturnser Alm, where we could enjoy a wonderful view of the Vinschgau, the Texel group and the Ötztal Alps with the glaciated summit of the Weißkugel.

August 6, 2021,Vigiljoch – Blick in die Dolomiten Runde von Tscherms - Cermes
I completely forgot to mention that the altitude difference is not right 🤣🤣🤣. I have no idea where my cell phone was, where I wasn't. It would only have to be about 650 or so.

Today was the 2nd attempt to get to the top with the cable car ... The first time the parking lot was full and meter long queues at the train 😳.
Therefore a little earlier today.

From the cable car we first went - without using the chairlift - towards Bärenbad Alm. After a long break with a wonderful view …

A really great tour with fantastic views of the Ortler and the Dolomites (including Sella, the entire Alpe di Siusi, Rosengarten, Latemar). I recommend stopping at the NaturnserAlm - I was completely ignored at the Bärenbadalm (also another solo hiker) 🤷. The time given can't be right, it felt like 2/3 of the way was uphill 😅 - I estimate …

With the gondola 🚠 from Lana up then path 30 - 9 (detour church Vigiljoch) - 34 = Naturnser Alm. Return path 9A and 2 to the Bärenbadalm and then again 34 back to the gondola. When the weather is good, the Bärenbadalm offers a TOP view of the Dolomites - simply fantastic!

From the Vigiljoch steadily uphill to the Naturnser Alm in sunny weather. Magnificent views of the Vinschgau and the Texel Group. Via the "Rauchbichl" with wonderful views of the Dolomites (unfortunately a bit overcast and hazy) we went down to the Bärenbadalm, which unfortunately was closed today.
For the descent to Lana we took the Vigiljoch Bahn.

We even came across a few squirrels on this wonderful autumn hike. One particularly beautiful specimen was even photographed. A deer also crossed our path.

An autumn experience between Vigiljoch Larchbichl, Naturnser Alm, Bärenbad Alm and the Vigiljoch cable car station.
Just enjoy 🤩

Vigiljoch with the cable car

Escape from the valley heat (>30 degrees) up to the great Vigiljoch area. Beautiful mountain forest and alpine landscape with amazing views north to the Texel group, south over the Umtental and east over the Sarntal mountains to the classics of the Dolomites 🗻🏔️⛰️
