Hercyniaweg Footbridge over the Oker at Vienenburg Lake

The Hercyniawegbrücke leads north-west of the Vienenburger See over the Oker. The new wooden bridge replaces its predecessor, which has been closed for safety reasons since 2015 due to its dilapidated wooden superstructure and the lack of support from railway tracks.
The bridge is a total of 23 meters long. The two parts were delivered by a specialist company from Schüttorf, 300 km away, then welded together on their main girders and lifted as a whole onto the new foundations with a crane.
