A tour along the last free-flowing glacial river in the Alps. The Isel River plunges here, in its main stream and numerous tributaries, into the valley toward Matrei and Lienz, offering an impressive panorama. Simply stunning and highly recommended and worth seeing. So impressive that I almost forgot to deactivate the pause button.

Today, between the rain showers, we were able to take a wonderful walk around the Umbar Falls. It's a wonderful spectacle to see the water find its way through the rocks. Fantastic!

A beautiful tour along the Umbal waterfalls, which is not clear from the pictures. Absolutely. To recommend!

2 parking spaces are easy to reach and at €8 for 24 hours it's OK. The hike is easy and really beautiful. When you're through the gorge it opens up and you have a nice place to relax where you can cool your feet. From the snack station you can also commute to the parking lot by horse-drawn carriage... costs …

Hike in the Hohe Tauern National Park to the Isel waterfalls. The Isel is the last free-flowing glacier river in the Alps. On a water viewing trail you can see the spectacular and impressive gorge of the cataracts.

Very nice tour. If you don't want to walk the first few kilometers up to the Alm, you can take a horse-drawn carriage up there for €5 per person. The path always follows lightly paved paths along the waterfall with very impressive views down into the valley or into the gorge, into the rushing water or up the steep rock …
