The lake Lago di Santa Croce is a hotspot for kite and windsurfers. Due to its special location, geothermal winds develop almost every afternoon, seemingly as if you could set the clock accordingly. Marveling at the surfers is a wonderful pastime.

July 5, 2022,5^ tappa VERSO NORD Vittorio Veneto- lago Pieve di Cadore
Nice ride towards the Dolomites.
The difference in height indicated by komoot, however, is wrong: 1300 positive and 1100 negative would be correct

From the mountains down to the Prosecco region, we started in sunshine and drove through beautiful landscapes and lonely villages. On the way we encountered a heavy rain, then continued dry again through a typical Italian town of Vittoria Venetto.
Our destination is in a fantastic location. Finally, an 18% slope to the hotel.

The penultimate stage began with many descents in a great landscape. After leaving Lago di Santa Croce, it rained. Despite waiting, he didn't want to stop, so we had to put up with wetness from above. Then there was a flat tire, so that we didn't reach our destination Conegliano until after 6 p.m. Otherwise everything was nice.😀

This morning we started with moderate temperatures and the most beautiful sunshine.

The bike paths were very different.

You can say we had a newly built "private road" up to Castellavazzo - almost no cars on the road (because it's Saturday?) - you can stop in the middle of the street and take pictures in peace or park in the …

A wonderful day with a soothing wet cooling.
The track was super nice. The Piave also showed itself from its beautiful turquoise - green side, however, due to the lime, cloudy side.
The mountains of the Friuli Alps and in the background I think the Dolomites were waiting for us, and we came. Nice day, route recommended.

I thought I wouldn't take any pictures today after yesterday's mega tour...but things turned out differently.
The mountains were with us almost the entire time today. Cadore is a gem. We ended up in the Prosecco region.
