The Sint-Trudoleken forms the confluence of a number of streams, including the Bergbeek, which originates on the higher grounds of Oedelem. The Sint-Trudoledeken was diked and only ensures the passage of the water from Ryckevelde and Oedelem. It discharges its water into the Zuidervaartje and no longer absorbs water from the Meersen area.
