Winding Road Through Hawkesbury Common

Highlight • Trail

Part of Hawkesbury Common, possibly called Lower Woods, lots of lovely dappled light through the trees, and reasonable road surface. If you're heading east enjoy it before you hit the climb to the Somerset monument!

Frocester Hill Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

Nice gradual climb, works well with other road rides out of Cheltenham. Head left at the top for great views on the way back to Stroud.

A lovely spot to stop for a break or even a picnic on the lane between Frocester and Coaley. Views across the Severn Vale from one end of the churchyard and the Cotswold Hills at the other.

North Nibley Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A good testing little climb that is long enough, but not too long. The momentum of the descent is quickly lost by the first bend and then climbing gradually steepens... the steepest section being at the top.

All about vertical distance on this ride. Didn't look at anything on my Garmin other than the map page, so I was surprised to clock 11.3mph, especially as I didn't go into the red on any of the climbs.
