February 16, 2025,🇩🇪 von Sedlitz aus um den Großräschener See
A very nice tour around the Großräschener See with pretty viewpoints and good visibility. The cold is still very noticeable, so that you finally wish for spring. The sun did its best and provided great sun-cloud inspiration. A tour to enjoy and repeat...with a delicious ice cream or glass of wine in the harbor of Großräschen

Today, according to the Komoot recommendation, we were going to hike around Lake Großräschen. After hiking in the Meuro open-cast mine, the current lake bed, many years ago, we now circle the flooded lake. Unfortunately, most of the route runs along roads or paved bike paths. If you try to avoid them, you'll inevitably end up on prohibited, albeit busy, …

Morgenrund... has gold in his mouth... 😅🙈 or something like that. 😉 in wintry minus temperatures, we walked briskly around the Großräschener See today. It was a really great hike with great weather 🌞, the first signs of spring 🐦🌸 and lots of varied surroundings. Self-sufficiency is also popular on this route. The only option so far is in Großräschen …

Today I walked around the Großräschener See. I started from a (still free) parking lot in Großräschen. Because the lake is still being flooded, there are currently hardly any opportunities to get directly to the shore, as these areas are still closed. Otherwise, this is a beautiful tour with an interesting variety of plants. The paths are paved throughout.

The idea was born last week, and today it was going to come true, sun or shine 🫣

Unfortunately, I couldn't start running until 1 p.m., and the sun ☀️ was really intense.

I ran on the circular hiking trail, which is also great for bikes.
Asphalt everywhere.

I was well prepared for the heat.

By train to Sedlitz. Here we start with the circumnavigation of the Großräschener See in glorious sunshine. Unfortunately, the path consisted of 80% asphalt. We didn't want to walk the closed paths on the shore. But it was still nice 🙂

I took part in another hiking event today. It went really well. It was all asphalt, though—you have to like it.
