Victoria Healing and Mineral Spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

Victoria Heil- und Mineralbrunnen has been donating mineral water containing iron to thirsty cyclists, hikers, day-trippers, visitors, anyone who likes it for over 20 years. It tastes wonderful and is well received. Take a sip. Or like me, a bottle full for the future.

Martinsburg Castle, Lahnstein

Highlight • Castle

The Martinsburg, built at the end of the 14th century on the banks of the Rhine with a strong hexagonal keep, was a toll castle. The picturesque building complex was erected together with the town fortifications. The pointed arch gate in the east wall still shows a delicate machicolation with a coat of arms. The further tower and building parts were created in the 14th and 18th centuries.

Today, the castle is privately owned.
