During our vacation in Biberwier, we drove up to the Zugspitze from here on June 22nd, 2011. A great experience - highly recommended. From here it was also a little cheaper than from the German side at the Eibsee.

You can get to the Zugspitze in just ten minutes: from Ehrwald, Austria, the two panorama cabins of the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn take 100 guests comfortably to Germany's highest peak. Always accompanied by the unique summit panorama, the adventure museum, the snow crystal world and the panorama summit restaurant offer unforgettable experiences for young and old.

With the modern eight cabins of the Ehrwalder Almbahn, holidaymakers can get to the Ehrwalder Alm. In winter, athletes will find a family-friendly ski and snowboard paradise with 27.5 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes, a professionally built snow park, a fun slope, a family park, a snow castle and ideal terrain for snowshoe hikers and winter hikers. In summer the mountain station is the starting point for delightful hiking and mountain bike tours. The affiliated “Tirolerhaus” at 1,500 meters impresses all year round with top mountain gastronomy.

The valley stations of the two cable cars can be reached quickly and easily by car or train and bus and, as Waldfee already mentioned - free of charge!

Old drive from 1926, which was shut down in 1991 and has served as a small museum ever since.
