A very nice, but also strenuous and demanding tour. In wet weather you need very good sure-footedness, as it is steep uphill through the forest over "stick and stone" and can therefore be slightly slippery. There is also a steep descent down over a lot of scree, but also through the forest. Hiking or walking poles are definitely recommended. We …

A really nice, albeit strenuous, round
Great view. 🥾🏔️

There was a lot going on today on the Jochberg.
Luckily we only drove to Kochel and then took the bus to the top of the Kesselberg Pass. Despite Sunday, there is a 30-minute cycle here.

Group tour of the DAV section Schwabmünchen with 14 participants.
The day before, a car driver involuntarily took the prevented 15th off his bike!
It was optimal that we still found space at the upper P24 on Kesselbergstraße, thus exactly opposite the ascent to the Jochberg.
The path is to be improved from September 2022.
A stop at the Jocheralm …

Yesterday, after descending from the Karwendelhaus, we drove to Urfeld on Lake Walchen to end the hut tour for a few days.

Today we climbed from Urfeld (800 m) to the Jochberg (1565 m). A tour that I did 5 years ago. The climb was just as strenuous as I expected. There were more stairs than I remembered. My legs …

Pretty tough tour (600 meters in altitude over 3 km, especially downhill exhausting). Unfortunately only rain and fog, therefore so few (cell phone) photos. The Walchensee is still very beautiful and idyllic even in the rain and fog.

One of Munich's local mountains, if not the one it is. In winter ❄️beautiful, especially the loop over Sachenbach. In summer - hmm 😒not really recommended, because it's always a nightmare there.

This circular hike is beautiful and worth it. At the end, walk along the lake and, like we did, take a quick dip in the water.

Follow the forest road and turn onto the path after the gate, which curves to the left. It's signposted but a bit hard to see.
