August 12, 2022,Lüneburg: Die Heide in der Dürre

This year's drought is giving nature a hard time. Heather blooms between mid-August and mid-September. Right now it's more brown than pink.

The trip led to the Oldendorfer Totenstadt and Kronsbergheide near Amelinghausen. (Here the heather queen is also crowned).

Very nice tour on low-traffic side streets. The historic water mill is highly recommended for a stop. The information about ascent and descent are unfortunately completely nonsensical again. The recording on the tablet resulted in approx. 550 meters in each case. That works out quite well.
