Ilfelder Weather Vane (HWN 095)

Highlight • Viewpoint

The weathervane Ilfeld lies high above the village itself. Benches and a refuge complete the course. Here is the stamp 95 of the Harzer hiking nobility. The view stretches south and southwest into the Thuringian countryside and the Niedersachswerfen opencast mine.

Drei-Täler-Blick Viewpoint

Great view, nice bench. A covered bench is currently being built. Rather difficult to reach by bike. Dirt roads are not so well signposted

Three-valley view (HWN 93)

Highlight • Viewpoint

From the Dreitälerblick lookout point you can - as the name suggests - look into three valleys: Ilfelder Tal, Kalte Tal and Brandesbachtal. The view is beautiful and there is a bench where you can linger and rest. The HWN 93 stamping point is located above the Rabensteiner Stollen visitor mine and is best reached from the Harzquerbahn Netzkater stop. You can also easily incorporate the HWN 93 into a tour with the HWN 95 (Ilfelder Wettervanne) and HWN 92 (Poppenvergturm).
For me, the Dreitälerblick is one of the top 50 stamping points on the HWN!

A great resting and viewing place. In addition to the Brocken and Wurmberg, there is also a beautiful view over to the Carlshaus Tower.

Highlight • Viewpoint

There are many steps to climb, but it's worth it. High up you have a magnificent view over the Harz National Park. Also stamp office of the HWN.

Falkenstein Cliffs

Highlight • Viewpoint

Its name comes from the granite rocks that stand like petrified falcons on the steep slope below the viewing point. From here you have a wonderful view of the southern Harz foothills.

Promising stamp round in the southern Harz 🐾👣
I'm really excited about the tour... great viewpoints, lots of cliffs and rocks and the route mostly runs on single trails.

There are stamps for the Harz hiking pin on the Ilfeld weather vane (HWN 95/also for the accompanying booklet Goethe im Harz), at the Drei-Täler Blick (HWN 93), at the observation …

Today hiking was on the program again and off we went from Ilfeld to the HWN 93 Dreitälerblick, HWN 92 Poppenberg and HWN 95 Ilfeld weather vane. The clouds were low and so we had no foresight. But a nice tour. Thank you Maik and Oskar for the nice day 😍

Thimble and the scent of elderflowers accompanied us throughout the tour

The South Harz is really one of the most beautiful corners of the low mountain range. I always come back to the steam locomotive climb and enjoy individual sections that I walked again today. The cliffs, the narrow hiking trails - simply wonderful. Ok, part of the path from Dreiländerblick towards Poppenberg is completely broken and not accessible for a …

From Netzkater station we started our tour on the South Harz steam locomotive trail to the "Dreiälerblick" viewing point. At a height of 420 meters you have a fantastic view of the KalteTal, Beeretal and Brandesbachtal.
We then continued to the Poppenberg Tower, also known as the South Harz Eiffel Tower.
This 33 meter high steel construction can be climbed …

Start 7.00 a.m. parking lot Torfhaus! Rain, visibility less than 50m. Shit, what do we do now! Rescheduled without further ado! Off to Ilfeld! So started at 7.45 am at the cemetery in Ilfeld! This is how our hiking Sunday began in beautiful Ilfeld! Through a small allotment garden complex we came to the main road, which we followed for …

Off to the south, chasing the sun 🌞 ... or something like that...

Mausi feels fit and free, that's why they 🐭, and another three 🚶🚶🚶‍♀️ from Ilfeld, high up today. ⬆️

Stamped three times, good moods 😃, and we had a lot to marvel at 🌸🌼🌲😃🌳🌲

It was a very interesting tour with stunning views, and it left a lot of impressions. I met a lot of nice people. Unfortunately, there are always stupid people along the way who deface the signs.
