In the southwest of Tenerife near the city of Adeje is the Barranco del Infierno, one of the island's most spectacular barranos and therefore a popular destination. Archaeological finds prove that the Guanches lived in this area.

Short tour with a decent climb. In this heat we make use of every place in the shade and luckily we have enough water with us. Nevertheless, a beer never tastes better than after a tour like this.

The actual daily goal "Cruz de Calla" in the northwest was in the trade wind fog at < 10 ° 🌧 🤔, fluxe decision, it's going back south! 🙂

The Conde ⛰ was chosen as an alternative destination... Initially a leisurely ascent, further up it becomes a scramble. Reward: great view! ✔

For the average hiker like me 🙄 quite a challenging climb up the Conde with great views and occasional views of La Gomera. Right at the beginning you cross a valley (Baranco) which is beautiful and home to a large number of cacti.😍 After that it goes steadily uphill towards the end, very steeply and with a section that doesn't …

Roque del Conde rises like a noble, flat scar in southern Tenerife, a volcanic mountain that not only breaks the horizon but also transports us to the island's geological and cultural origins.

Strategically located between the municipalities of Adeje and Arona, this massif, which rises to over a thousand meters, is the vestige of an ancient volcanic history, eroded by …

A mountain with a great view. I really liked it. The path becomes a bit more alpine at the top but very easy to do. I can absolutely recommend it.

Roque del Conde is a volcanic rock of 1,000 meters above sea level and is part of the protected area Reserva Natural Especial de Barranco del Infierno. So this morning we went out to conquer that beast! 😅😅 This table rock offers a phenomenal view of Las Americas and Adeje at the top.

Very nice tour with a great view.
BUT!!!
You have to be free from giddiness!
Not a walk but rather almost alpine level.
Unfortunately we couldn't find the descent safely, so we take the same way back. Still, it was worth it.

The Roque del Conde (Count's Rock) was formed by the stacking of basalt streams and was reduced again by subsequent erosion processes. Its morphology, with vertical walls punctuated by gorges and gullies, and its plateau form a characteristic landscape unit of southern Tenerife. Strenuous but very rewarding hike with a wide view.
descent as ascent.
