Last year I walked the 3 monastery tour on Akrotiri, where Katholiko is the last of the three.
Katholiko is considered the oldest monastery on Crete and was founded in the 11th century by St. John the Hermit who lived in a cave near the monastery.
This time I went from Stavros. Nicely marked hiking trail with not many meters …
