Rise Between Northern Loop of Thrunton and Main Woods

The rise between the Northern parts of Thrunton & the 'main' woods no longer exists (June '25). Extensive storm damage & logging activities mean it's unrideable in either direction.

Probably still walkable, but not exactly picturesque.

Enjoyable section, you need to drive with some effort through these sections in order of getting anywhere, nit more physical than other sections, then again, I wanted to get through this section quickly due to being a distance away from main tracks at nightfall, solo riding on rough land

Areas around this section still have trees blown down on the ground, access on the trails is restricted. I tried to get through but the trees were getting to often t climb and push through. Hopefully access will be back in the near future

Thrunton Wood was planted over two sandstone hills. This means that there are great views from the higher areas of the forest. It's managed by Forestry England.
